In Stage School students take an hour of drama, an hour of singing and an hour of dance with a short break. This class offers the best in 'triple threat training' to develop a well rounded performer. There are three age groups in Stage School- yellow group (school years 1-4) orange group (school years 5-7) and red group (school years 8+).
Drama This structured class focuses on improvisation techniques and script work. We look at understanding Shakespeare, creating characters, devising our own pieces, physical theatre, the list is endless. We have lots of fun but also hone in our drama and communication skills, performing several times a year Singing In singing we learn about the voice and how to safely and effectively use it. We work on group pieces, harmonies, performing a song, solo work and much more. Styles range from musical theatre to pop and folk song, ensuring our performers are ready to tackle a wide variety of pieces. Dance It doesn't matter if you have been dancing since the age of 2 or are a beginner we have a wide range of techniques to challenge you. The class mainly focuses on jazz/ musical theatre dance with opportunities for other styles throughout the term. Students in Stage School will have at least 2 performance opportunities per year. Fees for Stage School are £14 for 3 hours, siblings £12. This is payable monthly. |
